e maximum supply current required by the SWM24 is shown in the chart below with dierent power supply voltage
inputs. You will note in the chart that the Drive+Motor does not draw as much current as the motor itself. ats because
the SWM24 uses switching ampliers, converting a high voltage and low current into lower voltage and higher current.
e more the power supply voltage exceeds the motor voltage, the less current you’ll need from the power supply.
Also note that the current draw is signicantly dierent at higher speeds depending on the torque load to the motor.
Estimating your current needs may require a good analysis of the load the motor will encounter.
